
As Grieg Gruppen approached their 130th anniversary, they wanted to strengthen internal culture, through increased dialogue and sharing of knowledge across borders. With seven companies in 14 countries it was decided to build a platform across all companies, where all employees were invited to join.

The most important goal was to lower the bar for sharing, so employees all over the world would get to know each other, through imagery and insights into work environments and daily routines.

It is a challenging assignment to create a common platform for a large number of employees, encompassing multiple cultures and languages. A relatively large project group was constituted with involvement from many of the Grieg companies, Brandlab and Dekode.

One of the most important tasks was to create was an employee search function that gave good and nuanced results, not only based on professional faculty or topic, but also on parameters such as interests, linguistic skills etc. Besides this, the solution supports everything you can expect from a modern intranet. For example, segmented new stories, staff guidelines, brand centre and tailored shortcuts depending on company.
